Rising Costs in Farming

I left Illinois in 1995. I miss my family that still lives there and i really miss working on the family farm, but it was one of the best decisions I've made and couldn't be happier with the choice i made to move to Missouri. Chicago politics runs the whole state and it doesn't align with the views of the majority of the states residents

Killing the working class hold on property and goods a little every week. I can literally watch the prices of my groceries change weekly; and I buy the same things every week.

He is right our taxes are going up again this year our taxes suck. Illinois taxes suck how are we farmers in Illinois going to make any money at all

My grandmother sold the old farm back in the 1960s because there was no crop they could grow that would pay the taxes. Then the money she got from the sale was chewed up by runaway Inflation through the 70s/80s she started fretting between taxes on her house or groceries.

Yeah. Live in Illinois you will want out but can’t leave the family farm. Taxes are a killer here and they are trying to raise them.

Farmers, truckers and few more are the backbone of our country and shouldn't be paying a dime in taxes on what they own. Our goverment is criminal and I pray I see the day we the people take it back.

I work for a large farming outfit. I can confirm it's profitable if you stop wasting so much money. Farmers didn't know where they're expenses are and don't track it during the year. They just hope it's a profit at the end of the crop year. Taxes do suck but there are so many subsides and exemptions it can work. It's your spending.

Property Taxes, more than any other form of taxation, boils my blood.

It is literally legalized extortion because you are paying the government to not arbitrarily take away land that you literally spent your life paying for.

You could make a case for most other forms of tax, but Property Taxes are straight up theft.
