I like the native 5 LW but I don't understand why Spyderco didn't put a wire clip on it. I think anything with FRN handles should have the wire clip.

I might have to buy a Sage 5. I own a Sage 1, but the liner lock is a hot spot for my grip. I have the Native 5 in fluted Ti, FRN, and G10, all with S110v steel. I have several other S110v knives, and it's fine. Nothing that makes me scream "WOW", but I usually don't use use folders for rugged duty. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Historically Spyderco's made in Taiwan are the highest quality Spyderco's made. I'm an American and I would take Taiwan every single time, and twice on Tuesdays.

You didn't compare the thickness of the handle and blades? They look about the same, thicker than the Delica I assume? Then that would make the Chaparral one of Spyderco's best slicer.
