Agreed. Should be just called a Pixel 9 Fold. I was hoping with the Pro name it would get the same cameras as the Pixel 9 Pro. Chinese foldables don't have that problem.

It's strange why Google and Samsung are so incremental w hardware in their foldables compared to Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, Vivo, and One Plus

The only reason why all companies are putting cheap parts & selling them for so much, the customer is still buying at ridiculous prices. Only way I get a phone is a year old model or if I can get a new phone free from my carrier. I'm not paying $1500 plus for a phone.

The good news is that I really don't care about cameras... The smaller battery is much more concerning to me. All flagship cameras are good enough, at least for the photos that I take to remember where I parked in a big parking garage.

The name actually wouldn’t be bad if the product was internally level with the 9 Pro and Pro XL. Since it’s not then they should remove Pro from the name; it’s unfortunately a bad marketing tactic and dishonest. Like you I agree that it will confuse uninformed consumers into buying it thinking as a “Pro” product it’ll be the best product, especially being the most expensive.

They need to do more. I've beem using pixel since Nexus. I've been pretty disappointed since the pixel 7. Thinking about jumping ship.

I agree I'm struggling to find out why it's called the pro. When I hear it's got inferior hardware not to mention a smaller battery especially after the first pixel fold and the price and now they're going to probably ask for the same price for even lesser spec
