Wow, remicade and 6MP. That’s the best Stanford has to offer? It’s standard medicine. I thought they were going to talk about something like vegan diet or Vagus nerve stimulation, stem cells or helminthic therapy. Something you know “out there” that worked. This is just someone saying she liked her friendly doctor.

I’ve been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease but it was so severe with abscesses and fistulas that I needed emergency surgery. Unfortunately because of all the muscle waisting from the antibiotics I was also diagnosed with superior mesanteric artery syndrome which caused obstruction to upper part of small intestine. Because of that I had to be on a feeding tube for six months without eating or drinking anything orally (cuz of obstruction) luckily I gained all my weight back and just had a scope showing very mild inflammation. My doc wants me to go on humira because I’m high risk for recurrence but I’m scared to go on medication

any doctor who prescribes Remicade AND 6mp should be fired. The effects long term are scary as hell.

I’ve been having stomach pain for a month now. I hope it’s not the onset of Crohn’s. My Mother has Crohn’s.

My 19-year-old cousin was diagnosed with crohn’s disease this month:-( And he’s in Wuhan China during the virus outbreak, which made it harder for him the be treated.

I have this and every morning start my day with fresh lime juice squeezed into water and it works, believe me. Diet, fish, fruit, brown/wild rice, lentils …..lots of salad. Lots of water! Fresh ginger tea and finally good China tea (Fujian, Kunming green). Pawpaw also works for me. Lots of natural activity, moooove!

I’ve been having bad stomach pain off and on now since the beginning of summer. The last week has been hell. The pain in my abdomen will not go away, I don’t know if it’s crohn’s or not.

Waiting years for diagnosis. Had camera that found holes, lesions and inflammation...small bowel and stomach. Inflamed ileum but specialist wrote it off as the gas they used. So no official diagnosis and he barely discussed my health, I got 10 minutes at most. Started with months of nightly severe Toilet visits, sometimes I’d collapse and felt I could die, sweating heavily, sometimes vomiting at same time, then one night it was painful cramps and blood....so going to have to go through the rigmarole again of cameras....for now I live with endless nausea, cramping and pain
