The recent Battlefield 1 update added more than just the free Giant's Shadow map, it also added a new gadget for the support class: the grenade crossbow. Here's a short guide with tips and tricks to help you get the most from the new grenade crossbow gadget.
The grenade crossbow comes in two variations: one fires fragmentation grenades for use against infantry, and the other high explosive grenades for additional damage to vehicles and a larger blast radius. The crossbow comes equipped with two grenades, though it automatically replenishes grenades every ten seconds.
The grenade crossbow lobs grenades in a shallow arc, allowing more precise placement of grenades for maximum effectiveness. These grenades have a slight delay before detonation, so using them in confined spaces makes them more lethal. This also allows players the ability to "bounce" grenades off of surfaces, for more creative kills.
It doesn’t cost any warbonds to unlock the grenade crossbow, so give it a go the next time you’re playing Battlefield 1.
