I always suspected NZ was just upside down Oregon. I look out the window, see rain, go grab a jacket, turn back around and the sky is blue.

I'm from the UK and I'm no carpenter, my trade was as a pipe fitter working in London on big construction sites. I am now a self employed handyman. All I can say is that your videos help a lot but beyond that, the friendship between you and everyone in your videos is epic. Sorry to go on but I also think the way you edit your videos is awesome. It takes a lot of time on top of what you are already achieving with your work. Much respect 👍

Hey Scott, last year I was considering a carpentry apprenticeship. I found your videos and it reaffirmed I wanted to try it. Just finished my first year and have been watching your videos since. Thanks and keep making videos!

This channel is quickly becoming one of my favourites on YouTube.

As a student of Architecture, it’s really great a glimpse into good building practice.

Hi Scott your attention to detail and high standards for your work is really inspirational for me. I am 23 and have being doing carpentry for about 8 years now and your level of craftsmanship is where I hope to be. Thanks for the great vids

The work you do is amazing and I love watching your vids as it Makes me think of home bro 😭😭 lived there for 9 years, been back in the UK for 2 and consider NZ my home. Love watching and seeing Mt Eden, Rangitoto, the bridge, Sky tower and silly things like the scoria walls. I’m coming home one day 🇳🇿 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

Well it took me two weeks, but I finally finished all 340 episodes of "Scott Brown here" and "on this exciting episode". Phrases that I find myself, like other viewers, spouting out in my every day workflow. Musical creativity is perfect. Edits with all the street and landscape views break up the flow just right. Chef P is...well...a priceless once in a while and now that little french ditty is in my brain. Characters are super fun. And last but not least...watching Makita and Milwakee fight for your screen time is almost a sporting event. Go Makita!! Now where did I put my Makita jersey?

i like that you do the details, i get so tired of the people i work with saying "don't bother", I say, "It's the details that matter."

Scott, really enjoy the tours of Auckland you imbed into your videos. Really appreciate how you share the problem solving processes you employ for the unique issues that arise despite your best laid plans. Cheers 🍻

Thank u Scott, 👍 now understand why and how the right height is important when replacing timber boards on a NZ 🏠 👍

If (1) I were the homeowner, (2) I saw and understood what Scott did to those weatherboards, and (3) the bars/pubs have reopened, I would have taken him and his crew for a night out. I would even be their designated driver. That dedication to the quality of work is rare, at least where I'm from. Here, contractors'/handymen's quality of work is often "masabi lang" (roughly translates to "complying for compliance's sake") or "pwede na" ("that's fine"). That's one of the main reasons I got into DIY when I became a homeowner. Thank you, Scott. You're an inspiration.

Another awesome video Scott. Inspiration to finally put my foot forward and do my apprenticeship after working in the industry for 13 years in Dunedin. Keep up the awesome work.
