You inspired me. I worked on restoring my vise this morning.

Does anyone else think that the blues, reds, and oranges of the vice before restoration were just gorgeous? It reminded me of the colors a coral reef.

I'd love to see someone restore a project like this and then paint it in a manner that honors the previous condition. With a little creativity, it would look awesome.

That isn't to say this was NOT awesome, because it totally was.

It looks better than the day it came out of the factory.

Great job! However, I just came from watching the "future you" restoring another vice. You'll be pleased to know that the quality of the restoration was even better. And, I don't want to spoil the surprise, but you've got some new tools too! ;-)

Now that's what I was talking about earlier on before. That's the anvil vise. Except for one thing: the anvil vise I used to have was colored red. It was fastened onto a table.

Bravo ! This is how you turn a $50.00 vise into a $100.00 + vise.

Nice little vice. I like the British Racing Green you put on it.

Wonderful restoration of a tool made at a time when pride went into manufacturing. Unfortunately it's becoming more and more rare to find an American made tool of this quality . My people tend to settle for cheaply made tools out of China, rather than demanding the quality tools we used to make . At 75 years old l treasure the old tools l inherited from my dad, some of them older than l am . Thank you for posting this.

Lovely job, one of the best and most detailed restoration I've ever seen on a small bench vice. Muhteşem
