According to the Coriolis effect, the South spins clockwise and the North spins counterclockwise.
They must have altered the bowls or just simply had their North and South confused.

You can observe this in toilets everywhere. But at the Ecuador you can see how it spins right and left.

Sad to say but this is fake. They even got the directions wrong. They por the water on one side and that determines where it spins.

Science book says that the Coriolis force would cause counterclockwise rotation in the northern hemisphere (but only if the bowls were larger so the effect would be relevant).

Due to coriolis force wind blow in right direction in northern hemisphere ( here, from equator)and wind blow in left direction in southern hemisphere( here, from polar area). Am I correct !

Interesting i had a idea and thought this exact same thing today. How where both the north and the south spin in opposite ways from the equator. I dont have a explaination but i know it to be true.
