After the catastrophe of breaking the spine of my little trailer- no shame for it- I ask more of it than it was intended, I’m back and hauling wood! See how it does now. :)

I like the way you think about harvesting your wood, plus it’s more fun doing it yourself. Thanks for sharing.

“I open up wood and let someone else deal with it”. I love that comment Jeff. Mine is simpler as I let someone else burn it. Great looking camp. That seems like an awesome place to get away. Polaris needs to recruit you for product testing in those woods. Amazing how well your equipment handles the terrain. Cheers.

I have to do the same trailer dance to get to my woodlot Jeff!
You've got a great spot and a solid land ethic.

Sounds like a good weekend. Good idea having your first aid kit ready, especially if you're working alone. After many years of running a chainsaw, I finally cut my leg pretty good. A couple of weeks later, I bought my first pair of chaps

Thanks again for sharing and the tour of the cabin! I'd never heard of beever fever! Made me chuckle! I mean, I new the risks and effect of drinking pond or river water but not the common name for it.. apparently it's the same in french. I don't recall seeing that lake in other videos, it's a great spot for the cabin and it looks like luxury arrangements and all the essentials (and more!). The repair job does seem sturdy with no flex visible except maybe a little bit in the trailer coupler itself. Your remark about it being more profitable to mill than to process firewood is interesting. I keep wondering why there's a lot more people selling firewood than milling lumber, around here anyway. Most mills around here do log cabin kits to export and very few do custom lumber orders. I know only of 2 in 100km radius in my somewhat heavily populated area. Accidents happen.. accidents happening when you are on your own in the forest is scary. Cheers!

Hi Jeff!!😀😀
You definitely have a nice tract of land there.
Happy to see you working at feathering the controls. You where a quiet a bit smoother this time than you had been. Those valve are definitely capable of being feathered. I saw you do it!!
Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚

Nice trailer. Tip. When traveling make the boom more stable by grabbing a log or even strap it down to reduce wear on the bushings and pins which will cause a lot of slop in your boom real fast. Tks for sharing

I'm a day late and thanking you for sharing your wood lot work, it's nice and fun to see where you go and cut, stack & bring home the goods!
The fishing would be a treasure also, l hope you caught what you were after?
I know your cummins can handle it ! But what kind of weight would be involved if you had a longer trailer and made one trip home 🏡 with all your equipment and a full load of wood?
Anyway, you have a great weekend! Your neighbor and friend. Ontario 🍁 out.
✌🏻🧡 🌧 🇨🇦.

Very inspiring Jeff! I've gut an offer-to-purchase in on a small woodlot today, and I hope to be using some of the knowledge you've shared to do similar on that land. I only wish I'd had the funds/idea to start doing this 10-15 years ago! Looks like a good honest way to make a fulfilling living.

What's the make and model of your grapple trailer?

Con il costo eccessivo di questo tipo di rimorchio, non aver omologazione stradale risulta una enorme presa per i fondelli...
