Deer LOVE This Native Shrub!

There are three species of native Euonymus in eastern North America that make great additions to a native plant landscape or wildlife planting. They are used by a wide variety of birds, mammals and pollinators and have the bonus of four-season visual interest. In this video I cover all three of these species – strawberry bush, wahoo, and running strawberry bush.

Have you ever encountered one of the native Euonymus species in the wild? Tell us about it in the comments!

I recently bought some property in Eastern Kentucky. Saw a plant like this that seemed heavily browsed by the deer on the side of a prominent trail. Hopefully I can positively identify in the summer.
