So I am an architecture student, and for one of my researches I did a research on this building specifically, long story short there is nothing to be concerned about. The glass is a specialized load bearing glass that is made from 4 layers of specialized glass and is manufactured and reasearched from the leader in the game. And the building is supposedly strong enough where if for whatever reasons, that every other panel of the glass break, the remaining glass will still be able to support the roof. Furthermore, this is not the only apple building that does this, there are more, this Steve Jobs theatre is just the biggest of the bunch.

Glass has a compressive strength of around 150ksi, structural concrete is usually 4ksi. Since the glass walls are mostly taking gravity loads, this design doesn’t shock me at all. The real question is how much did it cost

The entirety of Apple Park is a piece of art, I'm not a super Apple fan, but this building is, truly, an engineering beauty. $5 billion well spent.

Why is it so hard to assume that people are good at their jobs? I’m sure APPLE didn’t skimp out on hiring architectural engineers. I bet that class is rated for 3x the weight of that roof.

I went there when it opened and it is very beautiful, the gardens and additional buildings are also really nice, and the lighting at night makes it look magical. It’s unlike any other theater I’ve been to, the memory is a bit like a dream, the landscape was so surreal and futuristic. The set for the show also happened to be real trees, so it felt like outside but inside.

Glass actually handles compressive forces very good. If it's placed correctly, glass almost has the strength of concrete (compressive strength forces only)
