Drink every time you hear the word “honestly” . If youre hardcore, drink every time you hear the word “like”. Good luck students!

Ha, almost exactly the same as 40 years ago. Frat parties and skateboards. We used to have a lot of fun, one of the best Cal Universities.
Good to see it again. :-)

I went here for a year 2017-18. Dont be fooled by the acceptance rate. Much of the student body consists of stoner burnouts and i doubt its changed. Absolutely filled with skater bros etc. I remember being surprised that some of these people got into a "selective" school. I transferred to a community college and the coursework was exactly the same along with the people. There are alot of pretty girls at SDSU (they only pay attention to frat bros for the most part) if thats something you care about and the campus is nice. I HIGHLY recommend having a car for quality of life and exploring San Diego otherwise you will feel like a prisoner to the campus if none of your friends have a car. You can find parties in the surrounding neighborhoods without being in a frat but guys will need to pay $5-10 each for entry. I also highly recommend having a longboard to get to classes. You can use a bike, but the wheels will get stolen overnight. I found it very easy to make friends here.

X(Comment): I loved the comment about bringing an old car. That totally works! I had my Nissan car scratched like crazy (back in the day) by envious students. July 7, 2024 USA

I only transferred to State to complete my 2 years of undergrad for my Bachelor’s. The memories were somewhere between fun and bittersweet. I couldn’t connect with a crowd of college frats and sororities or varsity players due to the fact that I was already a San Diego local AND a working student, so having a car to get around was a necessity, plus I never had a desire for the dorm or party life and dorm bathrooms weren’t the only disgusting bathrooms on campus

San Diego is great cause it's like Mediterranean of USA ⛪ Decent Italian food scene, lots of influence from Spain, warm weather, and very athletic city. The people are great but the freeway is where you see middle fingers 🤣 recently we have a lot of people who aren't from here and don't know how to work our highways and freeways...
