Soldiers on food stamps made me question it all.

This was after an embarassing amount of defensiveness and condescension from this representative from the DoD

Exactly!!! Also, the words HOMELESS VETERANS should never have to be used. They should get free or significantly reduced housing and health care

Military personnel should be paid enough to not worry about their families.

My respect for America as an institution fell a little when my cousin married a marine and they automatically signed her up for food stamps...

But they know exactly how much 330 million people owe in taxes.

This lady was one of the most smug people I've ever heard. She needs a spokesperson cuz her public personality is very cringe.

Why should you be sorry, you are telling the truth! They are the criminals, they don’t feel guilty and sorry, why should you Jon? You are the man!

The American wager earner who pays their taxes is treated like an idiot by the government, simple as that

If you think that's bad, wait until you find out the same department lost literally TRILLIONS of dollars they just can't find anywhere.

It’s all the “defense contractors” many with no bid contracts. Those CEO’s, share holders and even the regular employees at the “contractors” are pulling down way more than our uniformed defense employees.

Sept 10, 2001 - Rumsfeld “We can’t account for 3 trillion dollars.” That news disappeared fast.

I'm an ex military wife. When my husband joined our daughter was 2. We had a hooptie car, no cable, no phone, and had to eat a lot of Mac n cheese, hot dogs and ramen noodles. We still had a hard time making ends meet. Thank God we had family that helped us, but I know a lot of military members aren't so fortunate. It's a disgrace.

John is an exemplary human being. His unflagging energy for calling out corruption and injustice is very moving. More power to him.

I was an army wife in the 90’s. When my husband first enlisted we lived on post with two babies. We had to get food stamps and I was so embarrassed to even have to apply. It was $75/month but it helped! I would even whisper to the cashier that I was using food stamps. Now that I’ve lived more I know it is nothing to ashamed of. You do what you gotta do to take care of your family!
