Seeing the cats miss Simon reminds me of the first time I came back from university.

My dad picked me up from the station and when my mother heard the car pull up on the drive she opened the front door and our cat took the opportunity to wander outside.

Her reaction when she saw me was like someone suddenly encountering a loved one they'd thought was dead. She just froze in stunned disbelief, then when I called to her gave a piteous little squeak of recognition before throwing herself at me. 😿

I was really touched at how much she'd obviously missed me, but it was quite heart rending too.

For the next three weeks she hardly left my side. I felt really bad when I had to leave her again for the new term.🙁

I miss my kitty when I go to work!! Last summer, I had to travel to Michigan to work. I was gone for a week at a time, home on weekends only, for a couple of months!! I missed my kitty SO MUCH!! I finally quit and found full time work nearer my home! I hate being away from my pet for too long! I am about to fully retire soon and I can spend more time home with him!!🥰

its so sweet how the catsitter is willing to play with Sim9n's cat despite the allergies. this reminds me of my cat when we had to leave her to go away. the daily pics really does carry you through whilst you are away. my sitter is lovely.

That moment when you come home absolutely exhausted and your cat comes to meet you at the door purring and rubbing nonstop against your legs. Then follows a long cuddling session and you just stick your nose into their fur and it smells like home❤
