The landfill explanation was my assumption for the Filly name. It is kinda needlessly confusing though, as I think everyone probably thought "Philly?!" at first.

They didn’t actually move Shady Sands - the characters in the show like the games have fast travel enabled

Nononono.. you have to make a prediction video for season 2, please

A child leaving to find their father wasn't the only plot point they used from a Fallout game. Vault 31 is full of cryogenically frozen people, so you could call that a throwback to Fallout 4 as well with Vault 111's experiment.

I do hope they abandon the "find your relative" motivation in future games and seasons. Though, it's handled better here than it is in 4, at least.

I think it's likely the canon ending for Fallout 4 is the Minutemen one, with the Brotherhood and Railroad no longer hostile towards one another, and the Institute destroyed. No Institute means no new synths, which ends the Railroad's need to free them and the Brotherhood's need to prevent their continued manufacture. At that point the Railroad is just helping the few synths who escaped, and they're incapable of making more, so the Brotherhood would have no reason to prioritize targeting them over all the other threats of the wasteland. It's not hard to imagine a truce between the 3 remaining factions holding strong.

If you look closely at the airship as it's coming into the brotherhood base it 100% says "prydwen." There is no doubt that it's the exact same ship.

I assumed it was called "Filly" because it was a water source where people came to get water. To fill up their containers. Hence all the people leaving the city with filled water containers as Lucy was first entering the city.

ya werent completely wrong with thinking they were looking for a GECK....

i like that they reused the weird F04 MGs in the show, the ones that no one liked, and essentially made em into like LMGs or so
would have preferred if the BoS used lasguns tho...
is the more iconic wpn for em to carry

I think this division of the brotherhood will split in the show; the knights we see are all a bit... uhh unskilled of their patrol routes
we may see a large group of deserters after they secure the cold fusion reactor

I expect from season 2 that someone will take a sip from its trusty vault 13 canteen.

I love places in Fallout getting totally new names because of erosion so much. The idea of someone seeing "Landfill E" as just "fill E" and assuming it was a city makes me giggle.

Nations move capitals, yes. But, I can’t think of any examples where they take the name with them. London didn’t become Winchester, for example.

I find it difficult to fauly Bethesda for using a missing family member as the reason for leaving a vault, as in reality, I doubt there would be too many things that would motivate someone to leave the safety and comfort of a vault.

I guess they could have done something more elaborate - perhaps the vault's own experiment being the reason for leaving, but the character is leaving regardless.

Fallout is more about the journey and the Wasteland itself, and as even the show demonstrated, you'll get sidetracked from your main objective time and time again.

You know lot of people seem to have missed this fact because its stated quite clearly. the Prydwen was sent from the East Coast the West Coast because of the importance and high value of cold fusion they actually say it in the episode. so I don't know why there's such a confusion about where the airship came from.

Filly is definitely Fillmore, California. It's exactly where the rest of the show regions are situated.

I wrote a comment on the original predictions video talking about my friends cousin who was a set designer for season 1 that told me about some of the BTS knowledge, and everybody made fun of me for not having proof despite me saying to take it with a grain of salt, but I ended up getting most things right; like shady sands being destroyed, super mutants only being hinted at versus actually being seen fully, the NCR being a part of history taught in a school classroom instead of a concurrent and powerful force, the artistic direction being more close to Fallout 4, etc.. I kinda regret deleting my og comment from the backlash to be honest, it would’ve been fun to look back on to compare.

The Brotherhood airship IS the Prydwen and it's the same one from Fallout 4, Todd confirmed this recently. The name was changed to a different one (Caswennan) in the media, before the show came out, so as to not give away spoilers. You can see Prydwen written on the side of the ship, even in the promos for the show the name was visible. *Edit: I forgot to add, it's listed on the official wiki as the Prydwen as well.

As I am a fallout nerd since fo3. Not happy with the lore abuse but it's opened so many to fallout. Actually waiting for season 2 with both apprehension and appreciation.
