These are great reminders. I think most of us know that we are being scammed, but we ignore it. Great video!

I call them carts.
I am 51. I had totally forgotten about the smaller carts and how the back would open. You are so right!!

It’s a cart. The ones at Costco are huge..make me feel like Lily Tomlinson every time, and I agree about the size.

Sorry got to mention that I hate the normal shopping trolleys as I am under 5 ft and can’t reach the bottom of the trolley , I’am glad some shops have half depth trolleys

Discount bakery items at back of rows with milk, and eggs at the end of the night but not within couple hours of closing. When it's time to close the discounted bakery items go back to behind the bakery until the next day. Usually on repeat until sold or expired.

Absolutely I remember those carts! I would sit in the bottom and sort out the expired coupons and hand my mom the ones to use. Our grocery stores have smaller carts now and we use those all the time, it's so much easier and for two people it is plenty of space.

Good afternoon - One of the things I have noticed is that at our local big box retailer, Meijer, they have changed their sales so that you have to buy a specific quantity. For example two bottle of BBQ sauce for 6.00, but only if you buy two. You may have only needed the one and it was say 4.50 but you see well I will miss out, so you but two. You then over spend. Great video!

I call them shopping carts. I first make up my meal plan, checking the fridge & pantry. Although it is now just me that I am cooking for, I still make a meal plan in order to make good decisions at the store. I will pull up the store’s web site and take time to make a detailed shopping list. The list will include the product, where it is in the store and the price. I then put my list in order starting at the back of the store and work my way toward the front where the checkouts are. Lots of different reasons for this: 1) No back-tracking when at the store. 2) Knowing the price reminds me to look for a cheaper version or find the specific item if it is on sale. I am constantly doing the math while shopping and am not afraid to go with the cheaper or generic brand (with only a few exceptions). 3) My list is made up from my meal plan so I only allow myself two additional purchases - only two! Anything else I see, I will add it to my list for the next shopping trip. 4) I have found, after comparing prices of items, Walmart has cheaper food items but prices for items outside of the grocery area are more expensive than at Target. And both of those stores have lower prices than our local grocery stores. One final thing to note is that different stores have different sizes than their competitors. For example, Walmart has toilet paper in packages of 4, 8, 12, 20, 36 rolls. Target has toilet paper in packages of 6, 18, 24, 28 rolls. This is so they do not have to price match each other, especially when one store has a sale on a particular item.

Hey Jennifer we say trolley here in the UK, thanks for sharing these tips they were both informative and entertaining 😄 The thing that I find difficult is when they pump the smell of fresh bread around the store and even the car park! And even though I'm aware of what they're doing and why, It still makes you want to go over to the bakery section even if you don't want/need any 🙈

I call it a Shopping Cart. Always shop the loss leaders on the front and back of the flyer and shop the bottom shelf. Eye level is higher priced. Use clearance tag items (especially meat) to make my meal plan. I always get those free fruits for kids whether my kids are hungry or not. They will eat it later. And why is the music so loud? I have to wear ear plugs in order to not get distracted and remember what I am looking for...
