Mark Agnesi is back to discuss the brand new Flying V that is part of Gibson's "Original Collection."

Introduced in 1958 and only made in limited quantities, the Gibson Flying V has taken flight over the years along with legions of followers.

This Flying V carries heritage to new heights. The Antique Natural finish, mahogany body and slim taper neck with rosewood fingerboard provide classic looks, sound and playability.

A special set of calibrated Burstbucker 2 (neck) and Burstbucker 3 (bridge) pickups provide that perfect mix of volume, tone and power.

So glad they're bringing back the older style, the V is my favorite guitar style and even though I love me a Jackson, Dean, ESP, or Chapman V, you can't go wrong with an old school Gibson Flying V! \m/

Mark you were born for this, take us to the golden days of Guitar making. One thing I do notice though is the bushings are not 50s or 60s specs in the Standard LP models. Was that too expensive a change? Dig the vibes off of new Gibbys and will be buying one this year.

Funny how no one has mentioned Albert King yet, he's the one I think of when I see one of these V's.

How does this differ from the previously introduced 2019 Flying V? I'm guessing this is simply rebranding of the same guitar. I think it looks great, don't get me wrong... just want to make sure I'm not missing something here. I guess the logo has been moved from the truss rod cover to the actual wood of the headstock.
