So excited to see an influencer hitting the dangerous rabbit hole that is Home Roasting. Going to be a fun series to watch.

Thnx for the review. It helped me to make a decision and order this roaster. Also the discount code was super helpful 😇😇

You hit the nail on the head with this one! Right on! Been using the Bullet for about 8 months now for my microroastery side hobby and the thing is a work horse. So stellar. Perhaps someday I’ll be able to get a big production roaster and hit the big leagues like you!

So I have been waiting for someone to start this topic because I have always planned on looking into roasting at home. This will answer a lot of questions I have when the time comes.

Great video Kyle! A buddy of mine has two Bullets and uses them for his production roasting for his shop. He's been using them for a couple years with no issues that I'm aware of. The coffees I've had from him roasted on these has been great!

I find it super interesting that I was literally just looking into buying the Bullet. Then the man himself posts a VIDDDD.

Super interested in this roasting series! Would love to see some behind the scenes stuff about how you're getting the roasting business going. When you mentioned scoring equipment, it made me think of how Doug Demuro rates cars on Youtube. He has a spreadsheet with a few different categories for each car that adds up to a total score ou of 100. Could be interesting to see a scoring system like that for coffee equipment based on like, ease of use, value, reliability, community, etc. Love the content!

Production quality is off the charts here. You've got a hell of a thing going for you

We're going on 2 years with the Aillio Bullet as our sample roaster and a Dietrich IR12 as our production roaster at my microroastery/cafe. I've done as small as 100g samples and as much as 800g, but usually I do ~250g at a time. Most of the time, I actually like the fact that the fan is both for cooling and convection. I find that chaff isn't so much of a problem after 4 or 5 batches, but that's partly because of the size of my batches. In a single session, I'm usually looking at 12 roasts, and I like to empty the collector halfway through, but I won't vacuum it all out until after everything is done and cooled down. We got ours when it was still in the $2.5K range, which was honestly perfect for us for the amount of coffee we could sample roast at a time, especially at half the price of an Ikawa Pro 100.

Roasting is the topic that has not been covered so much — thank you so much!

I’ve been lusting after this roaster for a year now. With a little luck I will order it next month.

Beautiful. I’ve been roasting my own using a Behmore for about three years and have loved the experience. I would like to upgrade someday to something like this.

I received my R2 Aillio in Jan 202. I grow and now roast my own arabica Catuai here in Panama. I have a small harvest from about 500 trees but enough to supply my extended family state side. I have viewed one other of your videos comparing the R1 to a turkey/transformer competitor. I just can't remember its name other than the image you implanted in your video. I elected to get a 220 volt R2. I have a little bodega that I stuck exhaust fan above at about 7 ft over the R2 that is on a waist high table. There are a number of comercial coffee producers near by and it surprised me to find that hey have posted roasts on the Aillio community roast

Great video! Very excited to hear what you have to say about the Kaleido M10. I am starting a small roasting business(and I mean small) and actually chose the M10 over the Bullet(with price being a big consideration for sure). I should be getting it in mid Feb, pretty excited!

Went to use your code "Kyle" today and they said reached it's limit. I've been roasting a few months now and enjoy your channel. Hoping a new code will be released soon.

You are correct, I have been neglecting to subscribe to Standart for over a year now, but I finally gave in! Merry Christmas to me :)
