what I think would've been funnier is thinking that everyone who's in the theatre, including the audience, is a cat. Ok, no tails, no ears it's fine, but still acknowledging everyone is a cat I think would be more fun than saying "nobody is" since they repeat it one too many times the fact that we're talking about cats

This is a completely new idea/version. I saw the original version in the west end
and this sounds fabulous...

I'm honestly not trying to be rude and I'm queer myself but y'all lost me the second you said the characters aren't cats anymore... That's the whole point of the musical is that they're cats and they're weird.

I guess, though, the adaptation isn't primarily for fans of Cats the Musical but rather for people who enjoy Ballroom and that's totally fair.

Why? Just... Why?

Name ONE "reimagining" of a Broadway show (or movie or television show) that has been even *remotely* as successful as the original creation. THERE IS NONE.

The original ideas for show creations were painstakingly developed...sometimes over YEARS of creative genius. These thrown-together "knock-offs" are (sadly) superficial jokes...and anyone who buys into them doesn't understand creativity.

Creativity is ORIGINAL.
