Great review man! I agree with you -- the rear is way too similar to the Tundra.

I have the 24 TRD sport and it’s awesome

Going uphill is definitely a lot better than the 3rd gen. No more screaming at 4-5k rpm. I have 11k miles on mine so far and no issue.

The new truck has more power, every reviewer said it is better than 3rd gen . Emission laws are forcing these engines. They are pushing for 2027 maverick competitor

Downside is the back seat. So tight. Less room for legs. Otherwise great truck.

One of the most honest reviews. I’m not feeling this Tacoma either. Just doesn’t stand out without a V6 and styling is not the best. I’m a Toyota guy but have been disappointed with them lately. I was considering a Tacoma actually am looking into a 2025 Nissan Frontier PRO4x.

You did not measure the back seat room because it has more room than the 3gen.

You’re wrong about the back. It has more room leg not much than the previous GEN. I don’t know what gen you’re talking about that had more room to get the family on it, but this one has more room than any other gen ??

Even if agreed with having a turbo 4, hybrid power, looks, I would not not buy this truck simply because back seat is too cramped. I don't have a truck even though I am thinking about a body frame SUV/truck as my next vehicle. Coming from a CX5, tiny leg room is simply uncomfortable to get in, sit, stretch the legs, or have a child seat in there.

Toyota designed it for aesthetics but forgot about function. They widened the stance! Jetted out the fenders and fender flares and tapered them. So, there's no protection! The treads of the tires are exposed, and flings crap on the truck. The splash guards are tapered, too! In less than 100 miles, my rear painted fender flares got all chipped up, and it never left the pavement. They half-assed fixed it by touching them up, but it looked like sh*t. Come on, it was brand new! This was done 4Xs, BTW. Not to mention, I took the vehicle back to the dealership within the first 24 hours for other paint flaws. Which Toyota should have stepped up and put me in a new Tacoma. After 14 trips to the dealership and 3 trips to reputable paint shops. Who all said that's the worst paint job on a new vehicle they have ever seen. I Lemon Lawed it! TBH, I'm not too impressed with any of these new pickup trucks today. There's way too many plastic body parts! You open the hood, and there's plastic hose connections. Toyota's still using a hood prop-rod. The spare tire is one of those donut tires. My vehicle is a premium package, but the materials aren't that premium. Build quality and reliability got thrown out the window. Especially for the price they're asking for these vehicles. Trucks should have steel bumpers, IMHO. I just want my money back! I'll either lease one of these disposable vehicles. Or restore and restomod a classic that won't depreciate as fast. Also, you're probably better off getting the lower trims without all the tech, honestly. Might be better to just buy a full-sized truck,

I think gen 4 tacoma is not the best maybe the 5th gen will be better.

Listen to yourselves you guys sound like a bunch of women, worrying about what it looks like. It’s a V4 turbo that says enough. it’s plastic crap, not a real truck not a 300, 000 mile truck anyway. I do not recognize or acknowledge this vehicle as a truck. It’s a paper tiger. Enjoy your four-cylinder turbo girls. I’ll stick to the old Toyota trucks.
