Him calling the Off Road a lower trim shows exactly that he doesn't know anything about Tacomas. TRD Sport is 3rd lowest next to SR and SR5. This one is a TRD Sport with premium package. The actual TRD Sport doesn't have 360° camera, has 8" display, no rear window, no signal lights in side mirrors, no electronic tailgate... You can get all that and more in the Off Road with premium package plus is a 4x4 vs the Sport's 4x2

I can understand why you would think the TRD off road would be a lower trim. But perhaps some research before comparing could make a huge difference.

Pretty much all those options are available on the Off Road with the premium package. Toyota considers the Off Road a higher trim level typically.

I bought a new ’23 TRD sport 4x4 about 6mos. ago. Gonna keep it until the new redesigned Tacoma irons out all the wrinkles. Honestly, I’ve heard so many nightmare situations with the new design… and the prices. Same with the new Tundra as well. I really hope Toyota makes this right if these concerns are accurate. Chose the taco sport premium ish. 50 out the door. Couldn’t be more happy. Smooth, powerful and great ride quality 👍🏼.. 5k miles no issues yet 🤣

this is more of a comparison of premium package vs non premium. youre not comparing the actual differences in trims, but in packages. Almost everything you said the sport has the off road has with premium lol..

It's a damn joke, Toyota tacoma is like crap now.... Above $40, 000 for a 4 cylinder truck and poor quality. Toyota wakes up!!!! you sale data is like shit. What happens to your Tacoma build to last I was about to buy a Tacoma, but now... will go to Nissan or buy a use 2023 Tacoma V6.

UM? Three different HP ranges on the same motor… not a good sign of its engine and built..Toyota said engine power reduce because standard cannot handle the more Hzp I-4..? What happens when loaded and bigger tires?
2. Why sell two I-4 motors because one is cheaper and pa more you get more HP ? Why?
Toyota is going “cheap” no longer forcus on being the best…on all models…making you pay more …for so call extras..
Toyota no longer want to be the best..unless you pay for it, especially to those who can effort only the lower price models..when people rides those will find quality has gone down....

Ok let me put it this way…
2024 Tacoma: less towing capacity in the mid-size truck market. Turbo charge 4 cylinder engine. Super expensive.
2. 2024 Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon: highest towing capacity, 4 cylinder engine, Canyon is more luxury in compare to Colorado
3. 2024 Ford Ranger: adequate towing capacity. 4 cylinder turbo ecoboost engine.
4. 2025 Nissan Frontier: superior towing capacity in compare to previous years (7150) V6 Engine pair with 9 speeds transmission. Updated infotainment system .

Winner: Nissan Frontier, just for the simple fact that they keep utilize V6 engine, if is not broken, why fix it
