Tirana and Bangkok seem like the perfect pair to move back and forth during the best weather of the year.

Both of you look amazing and so happy together. Thanks so much for all of your insights. I plan on starting my slow travels in January 2026 but have been going to other countries as time permits while I finish my career. Good luck and health to you both! Maybe we will bump into each other sometime soon๐Ÿ˜Š

Albania has everything. City life, mountains and sea. I expect it to be a hot destination once the infrastructure improves.

Havent been to Albania yet, but Thailand, Europe and Albania looks like a good trifecta to try out. Bulgaria was my trifecta before, but sadly now thats gone to the EU (Romania too).

I was just in Albania a last month, it is a nice country, helpful people. Tirana easy place to visit or live
I did a 7 country run also went to Lviv Ukraine I wanted to just be a tourist and help the economy in a tiny way. Lviv was wonderful, the people friendly and helpful so many spoke English. It's a walk around city, also a great electric trolley transportation.
Lviv is in a very safe zone on the western side. I also like Serbia, Romanaia and Poland maybe because they had so many English speakers I could connect to.
Your videos are great I enjoy them all.

Nice video Dan. It's rather interesting. I do love Europe and I have traveled for work to France, Germany, UK, Denmark, Sweden, and Spain. I liked my time there, but I realize that as I near retirement, I'm really looking to Southeast Asia for traveling and eventually retirement. I have taken a couple of recent trips to Japan and I realized that I love that part of the world (even though I don't speak Japanese). For me, I realized the reason why is related to the flow of life and more importantly how the asian countries deal with stress. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that people born and raised in those countries need to deal with their own cultural forms of stress, but what I'm talking about is the comparison between the rat race here in the USA versus everywhere else in the world!

I realized that the European Union for me has more stress than what I experienced in Tokyo Japan. Now when you think of Tokyo, you are talking about the most populous city in Japan and it might be considered the most stressful area for a western traveler to visit especially when they don't speak a lick of Japanese. The interesting thing is, I found Tokyo actually less stressful than my travels to Europe with a significantly cheaper cost of living in Japan.

So that brings me to my ask. I would love to see your thoughts on a "stress comparison" scale for when you compare locations like you did in this video. I love your views and what you have shown us is possible in various locations around the world! Keep up the great work Dan!

I prefer Thailand no winter. Albania is still very nice I can easily go between the two.

I haven't been to either one yet, but think I would greatly prefer for the hot and humid weather. More interesting country, but too hot. I'd probably go for Albania for long term residence.

Hey Dan. I'm an accomplished jazz musician. I'd like to know from your experiences where jazz is still somewhat appreciate, and where a guy like me can bring his horn and sit-in with the band at an open jam session. Don't suppose you have a list of top spots for jazz around the world in the works?
