The difference between the 2 models of GBA SP

There are 2 different models of the Game Boy Advance SP - the original model, and the enhanced backlight model.

Is it worth getting the enhanced model? In this video I compare the two.

Honestly I like the first model better I only have the first version and honestly I don’t like the idea of a brighter screen just because it will cause my eyes to strain a lot easier and they already hurt when I use the light on the first model for so long also I never have trouble playing it in the daylight it’s honestly great to me. I will admit though the picture on the newer model just looks a lot more crisp and I guess you could say shiny

The difference between the 001 and 101 is as far apart as between the GBA and GBA SP

My question is one that's rarely asked...

Are there any exclusives on GB/GBC that warrant buying this over a DS lite (which can only play GBA games). I would imagine DS lite can do a lot more from a utility standpoint. For context, I have a 3DS already so DS and 3DS games are covered. Is that "utility" already covered with the 3DS?

Also, Is this brighter version of the GBA SP still darker than a DS lite?
