Smartphone Fight! Samsung Galaxy Alpha vs HTC One M7 - First Fashion Phones!

The M7 was a dramatic change for HTC as a company, delivering on a much more stylish device than their previous offerings. While the Alpha isn't as radical a change, it marks a new design direction for Samsung. Let's take a look at each company's first "fashion" phone!

Rather than design, feel-in-hand is more important to me. The ones I owned that spring to mind are:
- Lumia 720
- Galaxy Alpha
- Lumia 800
- iPhone 5
- Huawei Ascend P6
- Moto X (2013) with ebony back

LOVE LOVE LOVE my M7, HOWEVER - although I'm having a VERY hard time finding a phone comparable, this is my 3rd M7 in one year. Every single one has wound up with a loose usb port / charger port, and none of them have charged for more than 10 minutes in my car (which is a brand new car). I don't get it. I've taken them in to get fixed at tech stores, and they all have a pile of HTC charger port parts on hand. They have all told me they get HTC Ones in all the time with the same problem I am having. I LOVE the double speakers on the front, the sound that comes from the phone is great, I do use my phone the most for music, so that's originally why I purchased the phone in the first place. I love the camera as well. I feel the battery dies a lot fast though as well. I feel like I constantly have to plug it in, and with a full charge, it lasts maximum 4 hours. I love the design, look, beats package, resolution, colors, camera is great, but charger port like I said 3 phones now. The headphone jack drives me nuts as well. And as I read below, the two plastic strips on the back on each one of my phones has discoloured to an ugly yellow. I also don't like that there aren't many cases out there that fit this phone ( I like a nice slim case just to protect from dropping, nothing clunky, or big - very hard to find ) This alpha seems to be pretty nice looking, but I'm on the fence as I love the front speakers on the front of my HTC M7. Don't think I'm willing to give that up. I also love my HTC One because there are no buttons at all on the front. I don't like the samsung as they have the middle button where crap can get caught around it. Wish the alpha would have no front buttons, and better music speakers in the front of the phone, I'd buy it in a heart beat.

To me, the removable battery is non-negotiable. I just got the LG G3 mainly because I was sick of the Samsung design language and it had the removable battery and lots of storage. I really like this phone! If the Samsung phones continue to look nice like the Alpha, or even better, I will get one when my contract is up. But companies NEED to make their back plates removable with access to the battery, or forgetta bout it!! I don't wanna schlep around with a charger, need my instant gratification!

i'm very happy to find video, cuz i just sold my oneplus one eventhough it was still one best fastest devices out there, but it's screen size really killed it for me, as of now im looking into market searching for 4.7 smartphone, i think 4.7 is best size phone can ever get. what would suggest me to get ?! i though Alpha is superb in terms of specsifications but it's screen pixels are very easy to be seen. Is there any other choices out there ?! (other than the overpriced iphone6)

hey Juan, hoping for you to reply. I'm confused in choosing brand new alpha, brand new M7, or refurbished iphone 5s. Got a deal here for those phones in price about $320. I'm a clumsy person and dropped hell lot of my previous phones. What's your opinion? Which one should I choose?

I love the look of the alpha! I would even go as far to say its way better looking and a better size than the s6. the smaller home button and less rounded corners also a soft feel back cover beats the s6 with its glass back. but don't get me wrong the s6 is an awesome phone with unbeatable specs!

I don't think Samsung is the best in android land because htc started. With metal body. And then Samsung does the same they copied the HTC Zoe the HTC blinkfeed most of it is from HTC
