This is great, but not all vehicles seat belts will go to the back of the Doona. I found out 2 years ago when putting my Doona in my mother's vehicle when borrowing it.

If the seat doesn't reach the back of the seat, is it safe to use without the base? Or do I need to grab the base when using a different vehicle that won't reach around the back of the seat?
