Without God, how can we explain the epistemological question of why is there this thing out there known as morality?

Morality has always been a huge problem for religion. A religious person can be moral, but they have no way to explain, through faith, why any act is right or wrong. See how badly apologists fail on this. Or can any apologist manage it? All true morality is humanistic.

Please define "morality." Can you define what you're even _talking_ about?

_"We all know morality"_

No, we don't. And this is the kind of vague nonsense which makes it impossible to discuss these things with so many theists. Please be _specific._ What is it that you're actually _talking_ about? Please define "morality." What makes something moral, to you?

_"We all agree that murder is wrong."_

That's because murder is _defined_ as wrongful killing. We _don't_ all agree on what should be considered "murder" and what shouldn't. We just agree that murder is wrong because *that's how we define the word.*

You talk about the truth. OK. But I care about the truth. How about you? I _care_ about the _truth._ That's why I'm evidence-based, rather than faith-based. It's because evidence is how we distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking.

Do _you_ care about the truth? Then what method do _you_ use to distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking? Is it a _reliable_ method?

If you actually care about the truth, then how about *one piece of good evidence* that your god is real, rather than just imaginary? Just *one, * but specific enough and in enough detail that I can judge it for myself.

Alternately, I'd accept *one piece of good evidence* that _any_ of the magical/supernatural stories in the Bible actually happened. Your choice.
