105 - Wavelength

In this video Paul Andersen explains how the wavelength is the distance between oscillations in a wave. In a longitudinal wave this might be the distance between areas of compression. In a transverse wave it might be the distance between crests or troughs. A simulation and an example problem is included.

I know radio frequencies were done in meters, the antenna in full of those meters to shorter antennas using a resistance coil. The AM waves could bounce of the stratosphere so a radio ship broadcasting on 259 meters in the thames estuary could reach the usa or australia (confirmed by fanmail). radio just fascinates me.

Hopefully, you see this question From crest to crest I got 42, but from trough to trough starting at zero I got 4. in the essence of rounding would that generally be okay?

In shortwave radio frequencies they use meters. When they say on the 30 meter band. Is the wave length 30 meters in distance?
