How tf is the renter at fault?! He is not liable for someone elses decisions and bad driving. Lucky your car is drivable about 5-6k in damages and thats why you have no fault insurance

Does anyone else hear that crack in the story? The man was EXITING from somewhere when a drunk driver hit him. Last I checked when you exit from somewhere it is your responsibility to make sure you do so safely when pulling into oncoming traffic. How don't you see a car coming at you when exiting a place of business or any place for that matter.

Pretty standard result to renting a car out to a total stranger. Unfortunately your insurance won’t cover it so any profit you’ve made renting the car is now gone.
