All tracks recorded with an LG Stylo 6 smartphone. The instruments used on this recording were an Epiphone Les Paul SL (electric guitar), Fender Jazz Bass (bass guitar), Ovation Ultra Series 1517 (acoustic guitar), Zildjian 20" Z Heavy Power ride (cymbal) and a 1960s Harmony H7 Roy Smeck lap steel guitar. The electric guitar and bass were looped through an Akai Headrush E1 pedal that was lined into a Marshall G100R CD half stack. The vintage H7 was plugged into a 125-Watt Fender Princeton Chorus combo amp.

If you thought you had Kevin MF King’s number after hearing his excellent recent single “Slow Glass”, think again. Black Ledge Falls is a soundtrack companion piece, both creepy and surreal. It was recorded on a smartphone, and the lo-fi nature of Black Ledge Falls makes it all feel like a half-forgotten, but terrible, nightmare. Each track is less than a minute (except the last song), so it’s a short nightmare. Don’t be scared. -CT VERSES
