Taking a boat into St. James City on Monday, talking with survivors and shooting video from the ground. @JonathanPetramala did an amazing jobs speaking with residents/survivors while we were droning the city. This is raw video and hasn't been edited down. Shots of damage pulling in from the boat and then shots of the aftermath from the ground as well as interviews with people that stayed or were just coming back for the first time.

I can only imagine the hazards idling through those canals - wires, lines, debris, edges, screws, nails, fuel...

These people don't get it. That place was overbuilt 30 years ago. There will be no "rebuilding".

What in the world do they do with all of those wrecked boats?

Why would rich people leave their boats on the water during a hurricane? Insurance money ??

What struck me was the absolute silence, no bird noises, voices no nothing. Praying for all the Island residents that didn't evacuate

11:30 how can you stay in a mobile home. She is worried about looters but not about possibly loosing her life. I don’t understand. I’m glad they are alive and well but I just don’t understand.

How on earth are they going to scrap all of those boats? It's just heartbreaking - so many are suffering right now - sending prayers.

People with a head start! Some with livable homes.. 🏠! One home that stood a Direct Hit on Ft. Meyer Beach 🏠 🦖 🐬 🐳 Unscathed. Symbol of Hope, Strength & Resilience! 🕊️ 🙏 😇 ♥️ Floridians Strong! ☀️

Wow, these people must be devastated. Mobile homes should never be near the coastline. I'm so glad we don't live in a flood zone.

"Its gonna be on solid ground!" no Maddie, there is no solid ground in Florida.

What is shocking to me is...how many modular or mobile home type construction. They must be 50 years old. Can't imagine zoning premitting that type today. As Floridian didn't know so many. WoW. Cheap to own but just cardboard and siding.

My husband and I were looking into buying a mobile home in Florida as a vacation home. Don’t think so anymore. ☹️ so sad to see the destruction of not only the mobile homes but all the homes, boats and vegetation. It will take many years to recover.
