K.I.T. | Award-Winning Animated Short Film | Unreal Engine 4

A medical robot named K.I.T. roams the ruins of an Earth once inhabited by humanity as he recalls the memories of mankind. As he enters a familiar neighborhood, he remembers his creator.

This short film was made in the span of just under a month and rendered entirely in Unreal Engine 4. This was my first time using Unreal Engine to make a project and I am shocked by the program's versatility and ability to bring stories to life.

No one gonna mention how this whole film was carried by Jonathan Yang's music? Yang did an incredible job at telling the story and was the only reason I was immersed in a robot walking round a neighborhood.

Notice how the lighting on the flashbacks is off, more due to like a blooming sun rather than the gloomy ambience in the current time, indicating that the past was very joyful and happy for the robot.

Nice story showing that AI could possibly possess human emotions and experience the feelings of loss, sadness and loneliness. Reminded me of the outer limits episode, Demon with a glass hand. Well done!
