There is something i noticed, as it gets darker the Nugget doesnt change shade, it just stays as golden as ever, i think the darker it gets, the less focused on your surroundings you are and you start only wanting the thing that you are addicted to.

Notice how he’s a bird without wings. First hit makes him fly. He feels like he’s meant to be that way. Represents an addictive personality very well.

I would be addicted too if I was forced to walk around in a white void with nothing but crack around

Currently 113 days sober from an alcohol addiction.

The video also illustrates why it is so difficult to stop using.
During addiction there is only the darkness and the substance, almost nothing else.

Good thing from recovery is how much you start appreciating the light and freedom from being sober.

Guys the video isn't about drugs it's about addiction

I think it's really interesting how throughout the video, the 'nuggets' start to look brighter and more appealing as the world gets darker. Idk it was just a really good bit of visual storytelling

Great interpertation of addiction, and the fact that each time he eats a nugget he is happy for a bit and then falls worse is just pure realistic

We can all agree we didn’t think the video would be like this when we first saw it.

I like how at the end they don’t actually slurp up the nugget. It’s sort of a “It’s your choice. Do you want to continue this cycle or get better?” Kind of thing.

This is the transition of any sort of addiction. It doesnt matter which, it just feels like this.

I love this.
There are so many little details, one could be analyzing it for hours.
One of my favorites is how after the comedown of the first try, it keeps "looking back" at the high, until it stumbles upon the next dose

I was a gambler, and I assure you, this is exactly the same feeling.

This video is about addiction, and it comes in many forms.

I have watched this many times. Sometimes I cry. My wife lost her battle with addiction Oct back in '13, and I have been Sober for almost seven years. Sad, recovering, hurt, but Sober. This video hit the nail on the head without saying one word. Very bittersweet, and very well done.

currently trying and struggling to stay sober from an alcohol addiction. i just saw this video for this first time and it feels like it was made by someone who struggled with addiction themselves. i don’t want to drink, but i do

I googled cute Kiwi videos and I got this. Let's say I felt the exact opposite of what I wanted to feel.

I think the story goes like this:
Nugget 1: The Kiwi passes by, doesn't think too much.
Nugget 2: The Kiwi gets curious and tries it: it feels delightful. The Kiwi is a bird, but can't fly: so with the nugget it can. First time is easy, nothing really happens.
Nugget 3: Now the Kiwi continues its journey on the ground, until it finds another nugget. It wants to fly again like any other bird does. But this time at the end something doesn't seem right. But the Kiwi just ignores the change and goes on.
Nugget 4: Now the poor Kiwi gets really addicted to flying and desperately sprints to the next nugget. Same thing as nugget 3, but with a bigger change. And it even hurts itself. But again it just ignores the change and goes on.
Nugget 5: Now you can see physical damage on the bird.
Same thing with the next few nuggets: more and more damage and less and less flying, until it gets kinda depressed.
On the second last nugget, there is almost no effect and everything turns black, which I don't exactly now the meaning of, but I think, that it should show the damage done to the Kiwi.
On the last nugget it just stands there, thinking what it has done to itself, but it might be too late to return back to its normal life.

That is the cycle of addicton!

I watched this in school a couple days ago. Every year, we watch this video at our elementary school. We learned that we shouldn't play a lot of video games and be addicted to that stuff. But this scares me and makes me cry and I can't sleep some nights

I love how this animation teach us about addiction without saying a single word. A wingless bird who only dreams to fly, until they lose the only important ability they have, which is being able to walk.
