Love how this doesn't have that silly number pad on the right. The e16 has this number planned on the right and it's really annoying because your mouse and keyboard is not good usability etc because you have that huge area used up with the numbers. This is quite appealing. I wish the e16 had an option to choose a keyboard without a number pad

Is it better performance than legion 14 inch for gaming?

Knowing there is a second slot for the ram I would only spec the processor, gpu and pick the 165 hz display which is cheaper than the oled.

Vapor chamber cooling limits SSD to 1 piece. RAM maxes out at 96GB. How hot is keyboard and how loud are fans under load in Balanced mode? I need a quiet and cool laptop when I'm working. Thanks.

Previous generations of the P1 have had issues with thermal throttling.

LIstened to it on replay. Great video! this maschine does what you'd expect from it, as a workstation, as you were saying. Maybe 64 GB Ram DDR6 coupled with dual channel and ECC :D would convince my buying instantly! (cause it would be future proofed)

Is Lenovo planning to replace the X1 Extreme series with the P1 series in 2024 ?

I own one since a week. What I don't like: no usb-c charger or possibility to charge with usb-c.
The ugly red mousebutton on the keyboard.
the buttons on the touchpad. Use this space for a larger touchpad.
Almost constantly I hear softly one of the fans in the laptop. Even when I'm not doing anything on it.
No complains about the performance or the touchscreen.

Thinkpad P1 gen 5 does has pen support, but another kind of screen, not the same as yours even it is touch screen

105W gpu power consumption plus like 80W for the core i9, meaning, battery life last 30 min. Windows computers are years behind apple power efficiency.

to be honest, p16 is a more reasonable choice. p1 should not exist. thermal is a huge issue.
