I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.

Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.

I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

My thoughts are my own and are not representative of everyone who currently works, or has worked at Tesla.

Farzad: Kudos for this podcast. Superb content. Larry has so much WISDOM! Wisdom fueled by intellect, curiosity, and decades of experience, tempered by a painfully learned conservatism. Larry has sprinkled so many gems through this dialogue. He is such a treasure to the Musk community. Keep up the fine work!

a 20% ownership position in an AI company that is likely to shoot to a trillion dollar valuation, is not going to hurt the book value or the stock price of Tesla at all and will improve both immeasurably.

Again, I agree with Larry's analysis.

To me the wildest part of Elons Story is how openAI slipped through his fingers. Universe changing event that i wonder about

🎉😊❤ Thanks so much, Farzad, for your excellent discussions with all your guests, especially with Larry Goldberg.

Larry is very articulate and intelligent and, in particular, Larry's skill set informs him to know when to zoom in and when to zoom out.

The knowledge one obtains from well informed perspectives is paramount in decision making.😊🎉❤

GREAT EPISODE!!! Larry is brilliant. I agree with him in the way he looks at AGI. Just as different people have different types of intelligence, some artistic, some mathematical, some engineering, some chess players. AGI will evolve similarly. And then there are the applications, the stack that will be built on top of that by even more targeted efforts, like FSD!!!

Sorry, but, I am 2:38 into video and it is not clear what you are talking about, so, I will try next video. I like to know right away what you are discussing and don't have time to watch to see. Edit: liked because of past videos.

As usual, great discussion! It also brought up a great point about immortal laws and regulations. I was hit by a thought that never occurred to me before. I will stick my head out and suggest that AI should be applied to the massive mountains of these chains to identify those that have outlived their usefulness. These would have to be reviewed and if they are useless, some percentage of them need to be addressed by government and retired. That percentage would have to be high enough to get to the point where laws and regulations get worked down to the point where there are only a few that have to be addressed per year. Can you imagine putting the government and associated fiefdoms on a perpetual maintenance diet? Holy crap! How fast could the national debt be significantly reduced by the potential savings by putting these organizations on a monitored fitness regimen? 😊😊😊😊😊😊

I'd like to see Musk invest in novel nuclear plant designs to make them safe, low cost, and cookie cutter so they can be rolled out quickly. The traditional nuclear power plant builders are not innovators.

you definitly do not want to be beholding to or at the mercy of Meta or anyone else.

Such a thoughtful discussion. I’m thinking that although we don’t know the prize for AGI yet - Tesla probably will benefit greatly with a language AI like chatgpt - so that we can speak to the cars and say where we need to go and what we need it to do. In a future of autonomous driving - people aren’t going to want to have to type in address anymore :)

Ah so that’s what Larry is saying at 20mins in.

He talked about never putting XAi yourself under the influence of a competitor like Meta than incapacitate you. Same principle BRICS is taking in their dedollarization.

Han's suggestion is madness. The reason OEMs fail is they are vertically integrated. For this to work it must be be perfectly integrated.

As a Tesla shareholder I’m all for the investment into Xai it’s a venture capital play that could be another revenue stream for Tesla without Tesla having to work on another project.
