Inspirational teen Hannah Hunt has completed a staggering 82 activity badges and nine challenge badges, as well as the top award - the Chief Scouts Gold Award. And, amazingly, she gained most of her badges in the past year, last March she only had 15. While other youngsters are happy to sit at home glued to the tv or computer, Hannah has immersed herself in outdoor fun and adventure to get her hands on every badge in the scout section.

Props to her group for actually caring about badges. So many leaders who weren't scouts themselves are oblivious of how important being recognised for proficiency is to young people in a world where they may not be the best at sports or academics! This scout is a great example of how important it is to some people.

I wish I didn't quit scouts so early. I moved to the USA. So I would have had to have left but I wish I was not so soon. Watching all these videos about scouts brings back memories

My scout group was exceedingly dull. We pretty much did the same shit every year, rarely did the activities form a part of badge progression and in order to get promoted, you had to be really boring and have no friends. If you made your own fun as I did, you didn't get promoted on the basis of immaturity - wasn't my fault we kept doing the same boring activites year after year.

My experience meant that when the time came to be unceremoniously booted up to the Explorer Scouts, I politely declined and got the fuck outta there. No regrets.

Also its not really an "achievement" you just go to scouts for 2 hours couple of month later you get them

That is literally impossible to get 67 badges in a year doing it correctly. She would have had to get one new badge every week of the year. I'd have to assume the first 15 badges she started with were the common easy ones too. So the other 67 would be outside that realm requiring extensive research and demonstration of her knowledge of each of 67 new fields of study. An adult doing that as a full time job would have difficulty finishing that many in a year. No this sounds way too fishy.
