Developing climate project proposals that can be financed requires the use of data to establish a strong project rational and demonstrate impact. However, too often African cities are data-scarce environments where little is known about the climate projects and impacts. This session will unpack how cities, through innovative collaborations, can improve project feasibility by utilizing and accessing climate data to develop robust, evidence-based proposals, with an appropriate rational for climate finance.
