Gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race – I don’t remember what race - he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both: is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?

When the history books are written, seb will be one of those names etched in our minds forever. He is a masterclass driver but an even better human being. So long champ.

No other driver has ever sparked such emotion in me like Seb did. I came to be a fan of F1 after years of watching NASCAR (I'm in US) and the first season I watched I picked Seb as a favorite early on. It just so happened to be the season in which he won his first championship, and he's had me hooked since. I will always have fond memories of the many times he made me leap from my sofa, thrusting my index finger in the air as he did, sometimes with tears, feeling every bit of emotion he exuded in victory. I'm not sure this will ever be replicated for me but I attribute my fandom of F1 to him. Danke Seb for the many years of joy you gave me and fans around the world.
