Also how would it be a miracle that something had been preserved in the desert? There are absolutely miraculous stories of preservation but you leave something in an area with no moisture to rot it next to no animals to disturb it and a whole mountain of sand to protect it from the sun's UV rays you can be pretty sure it's going to stay there
