Continuous Delivery Across Communities

Open Platform for NFV (OPNFV) facilitates the development and evolution of NFV components across various open source ecosystems. OpenDaylight (ODL) is a modular open platform for customizing and automating networks of any size and scale. OPNFV and ODL communities have been working together in order to establish seamless flow of software across the communities by following and applying CI/CD and DevOps principles and best practices. One crucial piece of this is ODL Continuous Delivery Pipelines which make the latest & greatest versions of the software available frequently to OPNFV and anyone else interested in them in different forms such as packages, containers and so on. OPNFV XCI heavily utilizes ODL CD Pipelines to create integrated solutions for next generation telecom networks. This helps other communities and users of ODL to develop new features, fix bugs, create integrated solutions, and innovate much faster than before. 
During this keynote, we will talk about the challenges our communities faced during the early phases and how these communities overcome them by applying CI/CD and DevOps principles and practices.
