"the ratings will be through the roof" Rich... what are you smoking brother? They haven't had "through the roof" ratings until CC showed up. Without her, very few will pay any attention. This reminds me of the US women in the last soccer World Cup, we may actually see US fans cheering against the USWBB team. This is a massive bonehead move. They included a player who hasn't played a game this year over CC. Petty, jealous women will destroy themselves over their own best interest.

Ratings through the roof without Clark. Are you delusional? Nobody watched the WNBA until Clark joined and no one sure as hell is going to watch the Olympics without her.

Diana Taurasi is a huge HYPOCRITE because she played on the Olympic Team as a rookie but she does not want CC to be allowed on the Team as a rookie.

Rich - these folks are dedicated to driving her out of the league. They are having an immune system like response to this outsider. All they want to do is reject her.

The ratings are gonna be through the roof? I have literally never seen or heard the Women’s Olympic Team being covered for winning a gold medal.

I'm from germany. this tournament could have done the same for the international development of woman basketball what the 92 team did for the men.
unbelieveable missed opportunity for womans sport!

She is doing for the WNBA what Julius Erving did for the NBA. It’s boring. She is not boring. She’s also great and deserves to be on the team cause 3 point shooting is important.
It’s a business as is the Olympics and should be a business decision

CC IS HER - Someone needs to tell these ladies. WNBA doesn’t deserve her.

Welcome to "Mean Girls: The WNBA Edition." 🙄 We can sit and debate all day whether or not putting Caitlin on the team increases or decreases the chances for U.S.A. to win gold. They've got the last seven in a row. So, if you're telling me that adding Caitlin to the roster somehow jeopardizes the chance for number eight, straight cap. I don't want to hear another women talking about the wage gap. I don't want to hear another woman talking about the patriarchy holding women down. I especially don't want to hear another WNBA player bitching and moaning about their salaries compared to NBA players. The WNBA has yet to make money in their 28-year existence. For better or worse, Caitlin puts people in seats, which is exactly what the league needs to become profitable. Leaving her off the Olympic team roster tells me everything I need to know about U.S. women's basketball. Watch...Chelsea Gray is going to have to drop out and Caitlin will be a last-minute inclusion, because the backlash is going to be more than they expected.

I will not watch the Anti-USA Women's Olympic Team.

Clark is why the wnba has views. If she stayed in Iowa, the league would still be sitting in the bottom of the toilet bowl. I watch only for Clark, never heard of any of these other “superstars”. They are bitter because Clark has brought more attention to woman’s basketball in two years then the wnba has in 26 years

I don’t want to hear them complain about NOTHING.

It’s not obvious she’s going to be on future Olympic teams. Only takes an ACL, that’s it. And it could be all over. Abject failure for the women’s basketball committee to capitalize on this wave.

The committee was successful. They said they didn't want to deal with fans that were upset that CC didn't get playing time. They won't have to worry about fans because there won't be any!

Diana Taurasi is not the WNBA and the players are the product not the buyers

Not a lot of people cared or watched WNBA, until Caitlin Clark came into the spotlight, that's just a fact

She didn't make the team because Taurasi and the "old guard" are jealous of her contracts, attention and worthiness. Simple as that. They should have cut Griner, Taurasi and one other older player and made room for the new talent. That is what should have happened. Big mistake. No one, literally no one watched the WNBA until Clark came along. Totally disgusting and stupid. Envy and jealousy and racism are evil and ugly. The league is full of people steeped in all three. Won't watch it again.

Rich, there are two players who have not played more than one game this year. CC stats are comparable and she is a rating machine. She should have been on the team. CC is class act responding to not making the team

WNBA now have chartered flights for teams and 2 expansion teams coming. Teams have to move venues when she comes to play.
100% she should be on the team.
Crazy to think otherwise
