" Deion responds, " No, I am going to Dallas. " Two years later, Saban text : " I told you to stay at Colorado. "

No way he leaves CU. Deion is a college coach like Saban. He is emphathetic and likes taking kids to the next level in football or life. He likes being a surrogate father. Can’t do that in the pros. He is opposite of Belicheck: Who is a pro coach: strategist and playing the chess board. Prime shines up the chess pieces and trains them to play. He’s in perfect position to get a new contract; stay in place until he accomplishes his goal of a Title. Finally, staying in college he gains the added bonus of being able to attend/watch his sons on Sunday rather than play against them.

Jerry is throwing Deion’s name around as a favor to Deion during contract negotiations with CU. He’s not serious about him any more than Deion is about that job. It looks bad for Jerry not to at least have him on the list.
