The fact the air boss hasn’t himself is a crime. To be responsible for 6 lives and continue living shows remorse.

I have looked into this accident and this is a lot more complicated than it seems at first glance. There was way beyond gross negligence here and this accident should never have happened. Somebody needs to be held accountable. And I hate lawsuits. This one is warranted. Look into it.

Absolutely ridiculous. They made the conscious decision to participate in an unnecessary and high risk activity.

The pilot was to blame, accidents happen in the air too.

Damn, how greedy! How are the plane owners negligent? lmao the one who crashed the plan is the one at fault! the other plane had nothing to do with it.smh

The estate of the Pilot of the fighter was at fault.

The whole notion of an 'air boss' is frankly ridiculous - creating a wholly unnecessary single-point-of-failure which, in this case, was exacerbated by flying aircraft of vastly different performance characteristics in a complex pattern, with no vertical clearance, and insufficient horizontal clearance. Overall, this entire event was poorly planned, poorly rehearsed and poorly supervised. In pursuit of creating a spectator spectacle, safety was thrown to the wind. If this is how the USA allows airshows to be organized, the only surprise is that it took this long for an accident to happen. Blaming individuals in this situation really has no value - the truth is the organization (of these shows) needs to be rethought.

First of all that air boss shouldnt have been maintaining the air show period if he was going to be cocky and arrogant, these type of things need to be taken WAY more seriously than they already are, if there is no clear flight path plan, it should be questioned and looked over properly, you cant assume you know what your doing if you dont have a plan! negligence gets these people killed!! there should have been another air boss that had more experience and had open mindedness to be questioned instead of possibility of being punished FOR questioning.

second of all, the P-63 has terrible visibility, nothing was wrong with either aircraft as that guy said, he came in and couldnt see the aircraft, had the pilot maybe been able to see the B-17 halfway, he could have done a possible left lower bank to avoid the Texas Raiders, or a Radial G maneuver had he been able to see the plane in time, neither pilots are to blame for this.

I can pinpoint that it was very much the airbosses fault for this, I heard that the pilots wanted to question the air bosses ' thinking ' but i heard that can get you kicked out of the club or in trouble if done so, which is SO stupid!! especially since this guy is a rookie despite being the son of the previous air boss!

and to debunk the myth of these airplanes not being safe: yes. they. ARE!! they are about as safe as a Commercial airliner, lots of maintanence and care is put into all these world war two aircraft we see fly today if they are in the RIGHT HANDS, the press likes to inflate the fears of these old birds whenever a tragedy like this happens because it gets them views and revenue but I can tell you from experience they are very safe, ive watched crews take serious care of these aircraft and have a lot of passion for them, this can even go back to the crash of Nine o Nine where it was the fault of one person in charge of said maintanence who was neglagent who is now at a museum in my state who is too close to comfort with Yankee Lady. ( luckily doesnt touch her last i heard )

I was at the airshow in Colorado in 2022 two months before Texas Raiders crashed, I got to pay ten bucks to go inside of the aircraft and look around, you could tell the crew cared so much about the air craft and I even got to speak to one of the volunteers who maintained the aircraft who was out of state, I was very interested in becoming a crew member of Texas Raiders and now I wont ever get that chance.. and its not fair with what happened to the people or the aircraft and I hope the family fileing the lawsuit can get their justice against the moron!
