In my opinion, this is one of the best action sci-fi movies ever. It's criminally underrated. There is so much in this film, you can't get it all in one watching. As an expression on religion and culture it's impressive. It's the best film of the Riddick series by far. I can't wait for Furya to come out.

this has always been my favorite Riddick movie because of the Necromongers. this was an enemy that was much more compelling than just swarms of aliens or monsters. I loved that they had a distinct culture and there was a freaky supernatual-ish aspect to them. I also really loved the later segments on the sun-scorched prison planet. yes, very underrated movie

Seeing the Necromongers always keeps reminding me of the 40K Chaos Forces. Only these guys are a small cult branch. Their belief, the training, and how they gain more power isn't from any Chaos Deity just their own making of the four. I love it all.
