For those who love the Riddick movies, realize that Vin Deisel loved them too. It was his favorite character, and he bargained to get control of production of the second and third installments. He would be happy to hear that these are your favorites.

I am a bigger fan of the third feature, though like all three a lot.

To me, this will always be the best Vin Diesel movie. I know many will prefer the Fast & Furious franchise, but those are just okay in my opinion.

I always thought it was interesting that when the Quasi-dead started their read of him, you could almost hear the hungry smile. They had something new to pick apart, a new mind to tear into, new memories to strip out. But the deeper they went, the more that anticipation, that pleasure faded. And then they hit the Furian part, and the rising fear in their voices... It was like they opened a door expecting to find a birthday cake, and instead ran into something like the Shrike. Something that made them recoil so hard it shattered their communication bowls, and made their voices go from emotionless to EMPHATICALLY emotional. They had such an 'oh shit' moment they backpedalled so hard they broke themselves in the process.

I never noticed that it was the Furyan necromonger that undid the magnetic machine. He did it to save him. He was protecting him all along.

The amount of worldbuilding these movies accomplished is astounding.

I love how Riddick manipulates Toombs. He is always 10 steps ahead of the guy.

They weren't enraged. They were afraid. Technically, the Lord Marshal was afraid. The prophecy states that "a male child born on the planet Furya would be his ultimate downfall."

Fun Fact™!
Much of the helmets and masks seen on Necromonger's in close-ups or 'hero shots' is steel, rather than aluminum or plastic.
The Director felt that other materials didn't film properly.
The Lord Marshal costume was almost entirely hammered steel!

The Purifier gave Riddick a fighting chance from releasing the magnetic force field to sacrificing himself not only to redeem himself but to show Riddick how strong furians are he gave Riddick hope.

Riddick is Vin Diesel's flagship.

FF, sure. Understandable. Good standout role. But Riddick is Vin Diesel as to Vin Diesel is Riddick. This is the movie series for him.
