Never seen so much detailed tutorial of Q3 before, this make me fully understand how to EQ match and subtract freqs between two elements. Great video, taught me a lot, thanks Sage Audio.

2 more:
1. It’s cool that while a track is playing you can hover over the bottom half of the EQ curve and it will turn purple and show you any “annoying frequencies”.
2. But it’s really cool if you the click and hold your mouse to make it turn BLUE which freezes the screen (otherwise each time you make an adjustment you have to then go back, hover, wait for a couple seconds purple).

Awesome video, thanks guys !!!

Outstanding! I've had the plug for a few weeks, and find it incredibly useful and intuitive, but I was unaware of how much depth there is for different applications. I've been mainly using it as the versatile band compressor that it also is, but now I have a bunch of other things I need to try. Many thanks! Very helpful!

This is an ace video - thanks for making it! I bought Q3 because I saw how many people used it, and after looking into it realised how versatile it is, and this has made that even more evident!

I *love* Pro Q3, it’s instantiated on every track & bus in all of my Logic templates. I’ve used it since Pro-Q 1 and the piano roll, Bax eq type and dynamic eq are so freakin handy. Love it man!

I was experimenting with the notes in the EQ spectrum. My chorus is written in G-lydian.. I made narrow bands at every G note in the spectrum & raised them all super high (just for the experiment). I was hearing ping noises that sounded pretty neat in my key. It actually sounded great throughout the chord changes. Then, with every band selected, I moved them back & forth. You can clearly hear how horrible it sounds when they are out of key. This is important to know, because they can help you make your music sound even better, knowing how it sounds at ridiculous levels. When it sounds pleasing to the ears, then you lower them, so you can't really hear any "weirdness" - but you know it's subtly adding to the natural beauty of the sound. I might want to start doing this on the drums. No matter what you do to the EQ, you can have a separate EQ in the chain for this purpose. :)

Wow. I made a mistake waiting this long to get Pro-Q 3. No other EQ comes close to the UI/UX quality and features. I can't wait to try the EQ inversion -- I would never have thought of that if not for this video.

It took me a while to realize bands can be made dynamic by right clicking on a band and the amount adjusted with those little arrows!
