When he says " it's a fantastic record "

He isn't being conceited, arrogant or lying. It is a fantastic record. Peter Hook=genius

It took me 35 years to realise that PC&L is not only New Order's best work (by some distance), but one of the best albums of all time.

Stood 3ft in front of Hooky in a small Aussie Pub on Sydney North Shore back in 85 as New Order played a secret warm up gig for their Tour ... place was packed - they played all the early New Order songs and a few Joy Div tracks ... there was no stage riser so the band were on the same level as the punters ... classic night.

Digital and Ceremony are my favorite songs by this guy. Music was never the same after they came.

He's so right, it's their best album. Beautiful, liberating and wildly exciting.

I am so proud I own the original 1st press vinyl of PCL, it is an absolute treasure in my record collection. I really do understand Peter Hooks pride and would agree with his comparisons against Lowlife and Brotherhood. PCL is easily one my favourite albums of all time.

Just about done with his New Order book. Superb stories, can't put it down. Amazing how he can recall such detail. I can't remember what I had for dinner last night.

I want to see Kraftwerk angrily storming out of a studio.

My favorite New Order record. Definitely.

The more humble beginnings and demise of Joy Division being able to bank that jump to expensive synths made the New Order sound and sincerity that much better than many of the other bands at the time.

Not my favourite album... But if you ain't heard "Age of Consent" and "Your Silent Face" there's a nerve in your soul that ain't been tickled yet.

Considering the direction New Order took with the electronics, and the influence they've had on dance/electronica i love that one of Hooky's tattoos features the word MIDI !!!
