In this clip, Neil deGrasse Tyson talked about the transitional moment his interview on Fox provided when he was there as an expert on something other than being black. He discussed how white people traditionally don’t see black people as being smarter than them and why they aren’t allowed to think that’s possible due to their socialization.

I am from the Bronx as well as Neil de grasse and I lived near the high school of science and I grew up skateboarding hanging around there as a kid and I remember the science high school being praised as aa really good school in the bronx a lot of parents wanted there kids to go there.

Love this interview. NDT is my favorite. We need people like him and Bill Nye (back in the 90's) to keep the love of science afloat. Not saying it is all them but be damned if they aren't doing some heavy lifting.
