Used the sweet potato to progress down from a mid length all summer and now progressed into a fish twin fin. Sweet potato was a great replacement for my mid length. Easier to haul around and transport like a short board and still catch a ton of waves.

I also unpacked a 5'8'' for myself, today, so stoked to get in the water! But the waves are pumping in Portugal! Have fun with those beauties!

Right on and hope these magic sticks treat you well. My go to is the sweet potato, mashup and spitfire.

Fantastic, love all the boards and truely stoked & look forward to your further reviews.
Whilst this video wasn’t about the board that can be separated in two.
Would love to know how it separates and locks together.
Any chance you could send a link about it or show the way it connects together?

I prefer mash up over seaside, I had the seaside, sold it haha

The Seaside will grovel on up to a little overhead, no sweet potato needed. Then a standard every day short board, thruster, squash tail, for solid shoulder to a couple feet overhead. Then a step up rounded pin tail. 5'5" seaside, 5'10" high performance shortboard, 6'3" step up is how it works for me, until things get really big.

I dialed my 3 boards to the Seaside and Beyond, FireWire Vacay and Lost Crowd Killer.

I wish I could say I loved Firewire but after trying out a couple (probably not the ones you have) but I really didn't like them ... maybe I'll try another however I know sweet potato is a favorite but I didn't like it it was so thick like you said and it dragged me

May I ask, as a progressing beginner can I jump from my 8'0 soft top straight to the Sweet Potato? I generally surf in subpar mushy condition and started trimming down the line (still working on the backhand) but I'm having an hard time trying to carving. Is this board still out of my league?

Cheers!
