I'm so glad I found you! The past year I've lost my Dad and step Dad and asked for dress shirts. Now I have the confidence to cut and create something with those shirts. Thank you!

Yesss! men's dress shirts are my favorite thing to upcycle. I have made some cuties out of men's shirts. So, thank you for all the good ideas and inspiration.

You have an awesome talent and genius designs. The one thing I definitely want to point out is, I appreciate you still wearing garments you said you've had for a long time. Thanks for not being shallow.

“Omg! That’s so clever!” I’m over here gasping and shouting at the video 😂 your stuff never gets old. NEVER. You inspire me regularly & not just for sewing. Your confidence and individuality make me feel confident to be more individual (like I used to be before life dragged me down lol) you are a gem and a treasure. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤

God, you are a creative genius... so inspirational, girl! I too like men's clothes; mostly because of the quantity of fabric, the quality of the sewing, and the structured appearance but on the other hand I also like looking pretty, which is where your particular genius really kicks in.

My grandmother took men's dress suits and redesigned dress outfits for herself. She would make dress, skirts, shorts, tops, hats, purses. My mother God bless her soul, taught my sisters and myself how to sew. I'm not as good as my sisters and my mother but, I learned to take my time when making clothing.

Wow! So great to find someone who is working with the basic shirt structure and not turning them into kids' clothes! I love your style - LOVE the one with the French cuffs, but so many of these are good and I can wear them even at my age and style level! (Professional but with flair.) Thank you, you are fabulous!

Another great idea I saw was a hoodie on top and a men’s shirt on the bottom… cut just above the bust. Very simple, very cool 💡😊👍🏼⭐️

I love the plaid skirt too . That’s literally something I’d wear all the time ! You are great ! I love to take things an make them into other things too . One of the neatest things I ever made was a crochet purse for my daughter out of strips of heavy fleece fabric which was striped like a Mexican type pattern an bright pretty colors . . It made a great heavy duty purse an very pretty .

I love, love, LOVE how creative you were with all of your designs up-cycling men’s shirts!!!
I had to Upcycle several men’s dress shirts for a high school production of Les Miserable several years ago. The shirts needed to have big puff sleeves for the era of men’s shirts during the French Revolution. It was super easy and what I did was cut the original sleeves off where it was sewn on at the top, at the shoulder and around under the armpit; I just simply cut it close to the seam. Then I cut off the cuffs and saved them. I used white broadcloth to cut out a new, larger/fuller style sleeve, sewed a seam down the sleeve, leaving a slit to serve as a placket above where the cuff would be attached, then gathered it a little at the shoulder and attached it to the shirt. Lastly, I made a pleat at the bottom of the sleeve finished the edge of the slit/placket, and attached the cuff by sewing directly over the original topstitched seam on the cuff. Saving me from having to make a whole new cuff, buttonhole and sewing on a button.🤗 I must have upcycled, at least, a dozen shirts, as it was a pretty large cast! The shirts had been donated to the theatre department from a tuxedo shop that had replaced their shirts or had gone out of business. It was fun to be creative and reuse all of those shirts that we had on hand.🥰
