I love catch and release. I don’t do it for the environment or cause I don’t like fish(I love to eat fish), I just do it mainly cause I can. Also in the small streams and creeks I fish, it allows me to catch them again

I like to do both. My favorite way to fish is with an ultralight rig wading up creeks playing with little bluegill and small mouth for the most part. It’s the whole experience for me.

My dad always taught me to do my best with handling and releasing a fish he always says that we can come back later in the summer and ‘ketch em again”lol only if it’s a legendary sized fish that would be the only way we would keep one. My dad has one fish mounted and it’s a 13 lb 28 in palomino caught in the crick by my house I was 6 so it’s been a long time since then but I still remember the story and holding that giant fish in my little arms!!!

Most water in Fl is very dirty and I wouldn’t want to eat fish out of it. However if I am out in the Everglades I would not hesitate .

I do both. Sometimes I want to eat other times it just to be out there catching fish. If I got plenty food i usually just toss them on back.
